“Luci D’Artista “ is a charming exhibition of holiday
lights which every year decorates the
streets of Salerno from the 5th of November 2016 till the end of January 2017. The lights enchant visitors and tourists
from near and far with their bright
colors and beautiful shapes.
Each year, the exhibition has a different theme. This year "Luci d'Artista" aims to take visitors into the magic atmosphere of “One thousand and one nights” with the beautiful installations of eastern motifs in Piazza Flavio Gioia and in Piazza Sant’Agostino.

This area of the city is the most charming for children but adults will
enjoy it as well. A small lake with
luminous swans sets the scene for the enchanted garden where trees light up the
paths and luminous flowers and fairies take visitors under two shimmering
tunnels of lights where they are surrounded by thousands of glittering mirrors.
This year's visitors can find new scenes from the fairy tales of Cinderella,
Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland.

From 3 December, the majestic Christmas tree in Piazza Portanova is switched on thus
increasing the joyful atmosphere of the city.
This year there are two great new attractions connected to the event of
Christmas Lights in Salerno: the Sand Nativity and the Ferris Wheel.

Sand Nativity
From 8 December to 8 January 2017 visitors can discover a traditional
and evocative nativity made of sand at the beach of Saint Teresa in Salerno.

A Ferris wheel of over 50 meters has been installed in
Piazza della Concordia. This
impressive installation allows visitors and residents to enjoy Salerno
illuminated by the lights from high above the city, every day from 10:00 to 24:00,
with the possibility to have breakfast or dinner on board.
Luci d’Artista is a perfect occasion to
discover or rediscover Salerno and appreciate its hospitality!
